Honoring Jan Hively’s Legacy: Building Multigenerational Leadership Our beloved co-founder, Dr. Jan Hively, was a prodigious note taker and connector not only of people but of ideas and concepts. Before her passing, she asked friend and colleague Osnat Lustig
to help distill insights from her 20+ years of notes and archives. Osnat’s reflections now guide us toward a vital question: How can we co-create a new intergenerational leadership model inspired by Jan’s vision? We started exploring a new model at the August 50/50 conversation, and will continue till a new model
emerges.

Signs that Things are Moving
Ken Dychtwald, Ph.D., Outlines the Five Grand Challenges to Navigate Longevity
At USAging’s 50th Annual Conference (July 22, 2025), Ken Dychtwald shared five “grand challenges” to turn risk into opportunity: match healthspan to lifespan, secure finances across generations, fight ageism in the marketplace, and redefine purpose for modern elders. He called it “the most important speech of my career.” Rising longevity, declining fertility, and the ageing of the baby boom are reshaping every aspect of health, healthcare, and society. Without innovative solutions, this age wave could bring pension strains, more degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, and even political tensions between generation. View here. |

Standing Up for Humanity – A Dream Revived in Lexington A simple act. A bold statement. A call for unity.
LEXINGTON, Ky. — This week, on the 62nd anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, the streets of downtown Lexington echoed with his spirit. Pioneer Jeff Rubin, Kentucky’s
representative with the Pass It On Network to the UN Stakeholder Group on Ageing, joined forces with community organizations to launch the “Hands Across – Stand Together” event. Side by side, people formed a living chain along Versailles Road and Main Street—holding hands for a full hour in a moving display of unity and hope. It was
a reminder that small actions can spark big change, and that Dr. King’s dream lives on when communities come together. 📺 Jeff Rubin also shared his vision on local television stations — watch the interview here. |
